Day of the Dead Columbus is hosted by the non-profit organization Latino Arts for Humanity. The Day of the Dead is a cultural festivity to remember family and friends that have passed away.

Traditionally the Day of the Dead Columbus Festival showcases art exhibits, altar offerings, live music, a catrina contest, crafts, art vendors, face paintings, food and Calaveritas Literarias (poetry).

The Latino Arts for Humanity has hosted the event since 1999. The goal of the nonprofit is to share the culture with all of Columbus.

“Our primary goal is to serve as a bridge to the wider public by promoting the Latino arts and culture,” the website for the event says.

The website educates further on the tradition of the duality of with life in the Latino culture. More can be learned by visiting www.dayofthedeadcolumbus.com.
