From the Grove City Police Department

We’ve received reports of recent impostor scams. Scammers are using the identity of sergeants and lieutenants with the Grove City Police, calling people, and claiming they need to get in touch with you regarding a “urgent legal matter”. This is a scam.

If this happens to you, block the phone number and report suspicious activity by calling us at (614) 277-1710 or if it is an emergency call 911.

Stay safe:

• Do not share personal information.

• Do not return the call.

• Hang up immediately.

• Block the caller.

• Delete any messages and report as junk or spam.
